Adonis
2008 Weser-Ems German Riding Pony
Argentino x Mirage
SOLD!
Congratulations to Dee Seketa of Indiana. Mrs. Seketa joined us on our annual buying trip to Germany, where we had the pleasure of assisting Mrs. Seketa with the selection of her very exciting young colt. Adonis is a very impressive youngster and is certainly a stallion prospect with very interesting bloodlines and beautiful gaits. We were flattered to have Mrs. Seketa request that we raise her young colt for her here in the United States at Fox Creek Farm.
Adonis’s sire, Argentino, is linebred to Downland Folklore – arguably the most famous foundation stallion in the Netherlands. 16 of his sons are licensed stallions in Germany, and Downland Folklore is still one of the leading sires in the German FN stallion ranking list.

Countach is by the Hannoverian stallion Contucci. Little introduction is needed for this remarkable stallion. He was the 2005 USEF Dressage Breeding Stallion of the Year. As of 2006 he was ranked #3 on the USEF Leading Sire List for the production of Dressage Horses. His offspring have dominated the dressage breed shows and are now beginning to prove their worth in the performance arena.

She has been the Champion of the Produce of Dam class at Dressage at Devon TWICE! She has also produced the highest scoring offspring of the year for the ISR/Oldenburgs TWICE – both of whom are Countach’s full sisters (Con Dia 9.0 and Contina 9.3). She produced the 2001 Dressage at Devon Young Horse Champion and the 2004 DAD Reserve Young Horse Champion (Con Dia).
