Fox Creek’s Mayan Princess

2003 15 h. Chestnut Warmblood
Approved for Weser-Ems German Riding Pony Breeding
Galeno Tyme x Red Gold Beauty xx

Highlight: Princess is a lovely mare who was a First Premium foal at her inspection.

Details:
She was started under saddle and her temperament was such that children were riding her after just 60 days of training. She is currently doing double duty as a broodmare and a riding horse. She is so easy and kind that the University recently asked to borrow her for their competitions. The photos are of her being ridden at the 2007 IHSA Kansas State University horse show by a girl from Illinois (who had never ridden her before) – and she’s 5 months pregnant! What a great girl!

Lineage

Sire: Galeno Tyme

This brilliant stallion was Champion of the 2004 100-Day Stallion Performance Test. He earned the honor of holding the highest score in the history of the North American testing, and the third highest score worldwide! He received a record-setting Overall Index score of 155.87. His individual scores for Jumping (152.19) and Dressage (144.54) place him among a handful of stallions world-wide to ever achieve such high marks.

His sire, Granulit, was the 1995 Stallion Performance Test Champion in Neustadt/Dosse, Germany. Galeno Tyme’s full brother, Great Tyme, is shortlisted with the Canadian Olympic Dressage Team.

Importantly for pony breeding, Mayan Princess descends from Grannus through her sire Galeno Tyme. Grannus was often times in Germany referred to as "the pony maker". However, Grannus would go on to produce 7 Olympic horses, more than 60 approved stallions and several millions of deutschmarks in winnings. In addition he produced Black Boy an important foundation sire of German Riding Ponies.

Dam: Red Gold Beauty xx

Her dam was a small, kind Thoroughbred mare who successfully competed in the Hunter/Jumper ring and at many 3-Day Events. Princess was her only foal before she died of colic at the young age of 13. She descends from the famous racing Thoroughbred lines of Northern Dancer.

2006 Foal - dark bay colt

Fox Creek’s Curious George

Curious GeorgeThis is her first foal. He is already showing great promise as a future performance star. George is the epitome of an athletic, typey, beautiful sport pony. He has a gorgeous refined head with a large kind eye. He exhibits incredible suspension and extension and a large ground covering stride.

Expecting 2008 Foal by Halifax

We feel strongly that Princess will pass on to her foals the amazing athletic dressage gaits and jumping gifts of her sire and the kind, sweet character both sides of her pedigree are known for. We are very excited for the cross with Halifax. With Halifax’s own amazing jumping ability, this cross screams performance!!
