Origin
Kennedy is a German Riding Pony registered in the 1st Premium Class of the Weser-Ems and Hannover Pony Stud Books. Kennedy is descended from proven German Riding Pony foundation lines from both his sire and dam line. His sire, Elite stallion Kaiserjager xx, is a foundation stallion of the German Riding Ponies. Kaiserjager xx produced no less than 20 approved stallion sons of which many were champion or reserve champion of their licensing’s. Kennedy descends from an outstanding mother-line.
His dam, Elite mare Grace Kelly, is one of the best known German Riding Pony mares. She is the dam of no less than three approved stallions: Kennedy, Kiribati, and Kaiserwalzer, thus securing her the title of “Elite” mare. Her dam, Gina, was a purebred Welsh B who was imported to Germany from Great Britain. Gina produced daughters who consistently themselves produced approved stallions and states premium daughters. Further proof of the strength of this motherline is shown by the exceptional dam-sire, Brillant. Kennedy’s dam, El.St.Grace Kelly, is by Brillant. Brillant is one of the most influential and important of the German Riding Pony foundation sires. He is a British Riding Pony who was imported to Germany by the Coldewey Family in 1981. He passed away in 2003 at the ripe old age of 25. He sired an unbelievable 35 approved stallions and 23 States Premium mares. He has been listed in the top three stallions of the FN’s pony breeding statistics for dressage since 1995. The outstanding contribution Brillant has made to the pony breeding world can not be over emphasized.
Performance Record
In 1999 Kennedy was the Reserve Champion of the Weser-Ems Pony Stallion Licensing. He qualified for and received high placings at the 2001, 2002, and 2003 Bundeschampionat, the German National Championships for Young Horses and Ponies. In 2003, Kennedy was Reserve Champion of the German Riding Pony Stallion Show where he was awarded a perfect score of 10.0 for rideability. Kennedy was also Champion of the 2003 Weser-Ems Riding Pony Stallion Show. He is currently having great success showing in dressage at Prix St. George.
Breeding/Progeny Record
Kennedy has also proven himself through his numerous German Riding Pony Approved Stallion sons and States Premium daughters. His States Premium daughter, Loretta, was Champion of the 2004 Elite Mare Show of Weser-Ems. The approved stallion, Keerlke, has just become the 2007 Champion of the Weser-Ems Stallion licensing.
Kennedy is currently competing successfully at Prix St. George. He has a wonderful character for children and adult amateurs as proven by his perfect score of 10.0 for rideability. His beautiful black color, (Kennedy is homozygous black), elegant movement, and proven breeding record offers the pony breeder a quality choice for her mare.
