Thank you for your interest in purchasing frozen semen from the German Riding Pony stallions: Kennedy and Halifax.

Our goal is for you the mare owner to be successful in getting your mare in foal. The first step toward accomplishing that goal is having high quality semen to breed with. For that reason, we have chosen Select Breeders Services to collect, import, store and distribute the semen for us. Select Breeders Services are well-known for their high quality standards and excellent customer service. Both Kennedy and Halifax were collected by Select Breeders Services of Northern Germany. SBS of Northern Germany is an affiliate lab of Select Breeders Services. They are required to follow strict protocols in the collection and freezing of the semen.

Here is some general information about the frozen semen from Halifax and Kennedy:

• Each DOSE contains 8 STRAWS
• Each DOSE contains approximately 800 million total sperm of which 30% forward progressive motility is expected
• Each shipment of semen includes:
  • Transaction report detailing:
    1. Freeze date
    2. Insemination dosage
    3. Number of straws shipped
    4. Post-thaw progressive motility
    5. Concentration information
  1. Detailed handling and thawing instructions
  2. A timed insemination protocol

Purchasing semen for either Kennedy or Halifax is simple, just follow these steps:

1. Pay for semen via check, credit card or Paypal (see column to the left) to Fox Creek Farm, Inc.
2. Complete and sign the Stallion Service Contract for Frozen Semen
3. Upon receipt of these two items, Select Breeders Services will be authorized to release the semen to you or your veterinarian.
4. A charge of $245.00, which includes the tank rental and round trip Fed Ex shipping, will be payable to Select Breeders Services by credit card at the time of shipping.

Semen may be ordered Monday - Thursday and Friday if Saturday delivery is available. Order deadline is by noon Eastern time for next day delivery. Semen is shipped by Fed Ex Priority Overnight. However, please note that this is FROZEN semen NOT FRESH COOLED semen; therefore, it is not necessary to wait until the last minute to order the semen. Semen can be ordered at the beginning of your mare’s heat cycle, as the FROZEN semen will be good in the tank for several days. This is wise to do as it will help prevent missing a mares’ ovulation. Additionally, semen cannot be reserved. Therefore, availability of semen cannot be guaranteed. There has been a huge amount of interest in these two stallions and supplies are limited, so please don’t wait until the last minute!
